Bellevue Recreation and Parks NATURE CAMP 2013 “Wet and Wild Week” Sponsored by the Sandusky County Park District
Spend the week learning, discovering and exploring nature! Each day will cover a different habitat which includes woods, creeks, and ponds. Dress to get dirty while exploring and crafting. Bring a bagged lunch and swim gear. Full details available at www.bellevuerec.com .

Speed and Agility Clinic 2013
Student-athletes entering grades 5-8. This program will include: Plyometric work, Agility Training, Core Strengthening, Form Running, Dynamic Warm-up Drills, and Flexibility Training. Clinic will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays June 4th-June 27th at the Bellevue City Activity Centre, 3000 Seneca Industrial Parkway, Bellevue. Cost: $60 per student-athlete. Instructors: Ashley Tyler and Amy Rowland. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
Gymnastics 2013
This program teaches basic tumbling skills focusing on the floor, vault, beams, bars and occasionally rings. This program is located at the Bellevue City Activity Centre. Starting June 10th for 6 weeks. Ages 3-5 meet 5:15-6:00 pm. Ages 6-14, Beginners & Advanced., meet 4:30-5:15 or 6-6:45 pm-6:30 pm. Members $16.50 and Non-Members $29.00. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
Cheer Classes 2013
Beginner Cheer: Kids in grades preschool-1st will learn motions, jumps, cheers, chants, games and dances. This is for anybody that wants to learn or improve basic cheerleading skills. Six week session held at the Bellevue City Activity Centre by Alexis McConnell on Wednesdays starting June 5th from 5:00pm-5:45 pm. Members $25. Non-Members$35. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
Intermediate Cheer: Kids in grades 2nd-6th will learn intermediate cheers, chants, games and dances. Cheerleader should have common knowledge of basic cheerleading skills such as motions and jumps. Kids will be introduced to the basics of tumbling such as cartwheel, forward roll, round off, and back bend. Six week session held at the Bellevue City Activity Centre by Alexis McConnell on Wednesdays starting June 5th at 5:45pm. Members $25 and Non-Members $35. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
Advanced Cheer Class: Kids in grades 7th-9th will learn advanced cheers, chants, games, and dances. Cheerleader must have common knowledge of basic skills and be able to do forward rolls and cartwheels. Kids will improve their tumbling and be introduced to basic stunting. Six week session held at the Bellevue City Activity Centre by Alexis McConnell on Wednesdyas starting June 5th at 6:45pm. Members $25 and Non-Members $35. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.

Electric All-Stars Competition Cheer Squad 2013
Since the 1930’s cheerleading has been growing. Today it is not all about cheerleading at the games. There is also competitive cheerleading. The Bellevue Recreation Department is home to the Electric All-Stars Competition Cheer Squad. Head Coach and Choreographer Alison McConnell, Assistant Coach Alexis McConnell, and Tumble Coach Ross Tucker will lead practices for this elite team. We are currently accepting male and female cheerleaders ages 4-18. There will be a mandatory parents’ meeting Thursday May 2nd in the City Chamber Room at 7:00 pm. Try-outs will be held at the Bellevue City Activity Centre on May 15th, May 16th, and May 17th. EAS Competition Cheer Squad registration packets are available at the Bellevue Community Center . Happy Feet Dance 2013
So you think you can dance? Would you like to try? Not sure which style to focus on? Come and try a medley of classes at the Bellevue Community Center. Instructor Kelli Robinson will teach the basics of Jazz, Ballet and Acro. Open to kids ages 3-8. Wednesdays starting June 12 – July 17 from 5-5:40pm with NO class on July 3rd. Member $20 and Non-Member $30. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
Golf Clinic (5-12yrs) 2013
This introduction to golf will consist of four sessions at Twin Lakes Golf Course. The class is designed for youths ages 5-12, who have little or no knowledge of the game. Emphasis will be placed on fundamentals including swing basics and the short game. Thursdays June 6th – June 27th. Ages 5-8 1:00-1:45 pm, ages 9-12 2:00-3:00 pm. Program fee $25. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center. Bring water, sunscreen, hat / visor.

Introduce your 4* year old to the basics of baseball with this kickball to T-ball class. This five week class is played Wednesday evenings starting June5th at Robert Peters Athletic Field with a 5:30, 6:15, or 7:00 pm rotating game schedule. Bellevue Resident $15 and Non-resident $25. Coach pitch, bases 50 ft with 11″ ball. Plastic cleats optional. Parents are askedto help coach during practices. Practices located behind the Bellevue Community Center building. Students will train with Black Belt Sensei Carl Gault 4th dan while learning the fundamentals of martial arts including blocking, and striking techniques, abduction prevention, training exercises, traditional Kata, sparring, board breaking, joint locks, karate history and much more. Beginner class meets Mondays and/or Wednesdays 5-6 pm at the Bellevue City Activity Centre Monthly rates: one day a week $25 , two days a week $40.
