Woodards Photographic by Lifetouch will be sponsoring an Amateur Photo Contest at this years festival!

Come Join us for the parade which will be Saturday, June 29th at 10 am! Starting at the Bellevue Middle School.

~ Enjoy a medley of Broadway Hits performed by the Bellevue High School and Bellevue Middle School Drama Club Friday, June 28th from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Main Tent! ~

Dog Day 2013 at Bellevue Community Days Festival

This year, the Bellevue Community Days Festival will have a Dog Day 2013 area on Saturday, June 29^th, filled with dog related events, demonstrations, rescues will attend with their dogs, and a lot of fun for dogs and their humans. The highlight of Dog Day 2013 will be the crowning of the Dog King and Queen of 2013. This take off of a beauty pageant will require pre-registration. The pageant will be divided into categories that each registered dog will compete in: Personality, Fashion, Talent, Obedience and Human Talent. Human talent means the human occupying the dog on stage will need to perform some sort of talent with or without the dog. The competition will be judged by 3 invited judges. The Dog King and Queen will be awarded trophies and a prize package that will be announced later. The Dog King and Queen must be available for appearances at other community functions throughout their reign, from crowning on June 29th until crowning of the 2014 Dog King and Queen.

There will also be:

Children’s essay contest: To celebrate dogs, children are invited to write an essay about “Why My Dog is the Best in the Whole World” The child may also create an original piece of art work of their dog. Entries must include the child’s name, age and a contact phone number or email on the back of the essay and art work. All entries will be posted in the Dog Day area at Robert Peters Park on June 29^th, 2013 During Bellevue Community Days. Entries can be left at the Children’s area of Bellevue Public Library 2013 or scanned and emailed to abetterdogcompany@gmail.com No later than June 12^th.

Children’s Art Contest – draw your dog

Public voting of dogs for: cutest, most unusual looking, smallest, largest, best tail wagger, best smile, oldest, youngest, loudest bark, quietest bark, best dog and pet parent look alike.

Disclaimer: All dogs in attendance must be on a lead and controlled by an adult or a child with an adult at all times. Any dog who misbehaves, causes a disturbance, shows aggression will be asked to leave the area immediately. Dog Day 2013 is not responsible for any injuries or accidents. Dog parents will be asked to clean up after their dog. Bags will be available.
