Fall Activities
Our program emphasizes fundamental skill development, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and positive reinforcement with the goal of providing a fun and rewarding youth sports experience.
For a majority of our programs the Recreation Board has instituted a $5 charge for late registrations. Early registration allows the Recreation Staff to properly organize teams, schedule fields/court times, aquire sponsors, and order team shirts. Please pay close attention to registration deadline dates to avoid late fees. Together we can provide a quality recreation program. Unless otherwise noted, you must register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Friday Night Open Roller Skate— Begins Sept. 21, 2012. Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Cost is $3.00. Families are invited to come at 6:00 for early entry as long as an adult 18 years or older is present. Personal skates are allowed as long as they have not been worn outside. No scooters or roller blades please. There will be no skate on Nov. 23rd or Dec. 28th.
Middle School Fun Night- Kids in grades 6, 7, and 8 are invited to Fun Night the third Friday of each month October through March. from 8-9:30 pm after open roller skate. Kids can participate in open gym activities and purchase items from the concession stand. Fun Night admission is $3. Come to Open skate and Fun Night for $5 total!
Tailgate Dinner and Flag Football Extravaganza-Help kick-off the Redmen homecoming football game vs. Norwalk Truckers Friday, October 12th at 5:00 pm with flag football games & tailgate dinner. Kindergarten-5th grade will play flag football at Robert Peter’s Park & the Bellevue High School. Come out and watch our future Redmen, have dinner & support the Bellevue Youth Recreation programs. Players will participate in the pregame tunnel to lead the Redmen onto the football field.

GYMNASTICS FALL 2012
Preschool for Boys and Girls ages 3—5 years. Classes meet at 5:15 - 6:00 pm on either Mondays OR Wednesdays.
Beginner/Advanced ages 5 years and older. Meets on Mondays OR Wednesdays at either 4:30 or 6:00 pm.
Class fee is $16.50 for Members or $29 for Non-members based on a 6 week session.
Session Two: Oct. 29th-Dec. 5th (No class Wed. 11/21/12)

The Gymnastics/ Tumbling facility is located at the Bellevue City Activity Centre 3000 Seneca Industrial Parkway located on Route 20 on the west side of town behind Perry’s Plantation. The entrance to the GYM is located on the south side (back) of the building. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
DANCE FALL 2012 REGISTRATION CLOSED -So you think you can dance? Would you like to try? Not sure which style to focus on? Try the Happy Feet Dance Class at the Bellevue Community Center led by Kelli Robinson and Angela Mira. Class instruction will include the basic skills of : Ballet, Jazz, and Acro. Class begins Wednesday, September 5th and will run for 5 weeks. Children 3-5 years meet 5-5:40 pm, Children 6 years and up meet 5:45-6:30 pm. Members: $20 Non-Members: $30. CHEER FALL 2012 REGISTRATION CLOSED-The Bellevue Recreation Department Electric All Stars with instructor Alexis McConnell offers six week sessions all year. Class meets on Tuesdays starting September 11th. Beginner Preschool-1st grade meet 5:00-5:45pm, Intermediate 2nd-6th grade meet 6-7 pm, Advanced 7th-9th meet at 7:00 pm.Members $25 Non-members $35. J.C. RYUKYU KEMPO -Students will train with Black Belt Sensei Carl Gault 4th Dan while learning the fundamentals of martial arts including blocking and striking techniques, abduction prevention, training excercises, traditional kata, sparring, board breaking, joint locks, karate history and much more. Beginner and Intermedia levels meet 5-6 pm at the Bellevue City Activity Center 3000 Seneca Industrial Parkway. Monthly rates: One day a week $25. Two days a week $40. Stop out and view a class. START SMART FALL 2012 REGISTRATION CLOSED- Begins Wednesday Sept. 12th from 6:00 pm—6:45 pm for 5 weeks for ages 3—5 years ( must be accompanied by an Adult). Will cover the sports of Football, Volleyball and Soccer. All classes will be held at the Community Center. Limited to the first 25 registered. The Cost is $15 for Members and $25 for Non-members. CROSS COUNTRY FALL 2012 – Begins Mon. August 20th with a parents meeting at 5:30pm and a practice to follow. Practices will be held Mon. & Wed. at the Community Center at 5:30 pm unless otherwise noted. Travel meets are optional. Ages are 4 – 14. Class fee is $16 for Members and $27 for Non-members. AVOID a $5.00 late fee by signing up by Aug. 27th. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.

FLAG FOOTBALL FALL 2012-Registration Closed for all Flag Football
Boys & Girls Kindergarten Flag Football- This five week program will teach basic skills through activities and lead-up games. Emphasis will be placed on playing games and having fun. This is a perfect setting for young players to get started and build their football interests. Participants learn the fundamental skills including offensive and defensive stances, handoffs, snapping, blocking, passing and receiving. Skills will be developed using a variety of drills and modified play in a safe non-threatening environment. Parents participation highly encouraged! Begins Sat. Sept. 8th 11:30 am. VOLLEYBALL FALL 2012
Girls & Boys 1st & 2nd Grade Newcomb REGISTRATION CLOSED - Anyone interested in developing basic volleyball skills is encouraged to participate in this volleyball league. Class content includes bumping, setting, and serving drills, plus fun. Newcomb games designed to teach team play and playing rules. Classes will be played on Tuesdays starting September 4th from 5:30-6:15 pm for six weeks. $11.00 for Members or $20.00 Non-Members. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center. AVOID a $5.00 late fee by signing up by Aug. 28th.
Girls & Boys 3rd & 4th Grade Volleyball REGISTRATION CLOSED- For those interested in acquiring and refining their volleyball skills. Participants will learn and refresh the basics of bumping, setting, passing and serving. Modified game rules and equipment will be used. Classes will be Thursdays beginning September 6th from 5:30-6:30 pm for six weeks. $11.00 for Members or $20.00 Non-Members. Register in person at the Bellevue Commuity Center. GIRLS 5th & 6th Grade Girls Travel Volleyball League - Open gym practice will be held at the Bellevue Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning August 14th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. This league is open to any 5th & 6th grade girl in the Bellevue School district. Game days and times will vary based on gym availability in each communityparticipating in the league. $16.00 for or $32.00 Non-Members. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center. AVOID a $5.00 late fee by signing up by Aug. 28th.
Girls 7, 8, 9th Grade Girls S.H.O.E. Travel Volleyball League - This league will consist of any girls not currently participating in a Middle School or High School league. Open gym practices will be held at the Bellevue Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning August 14th from 7:30-8:30pm. Game days and times will vary based on gym availability in each community participating in the league. $16.00 for or $32.00 Non-Members. Register in person at the Bellevue Community Center.
